1931 Ford AA coupling shaft (long wheelbase)

Post by DRoger5739 »

Does anyone know what kind of spring (how long etc.) is supposed to go between the coupler shaft (with the funny looking female spline) and the spline gear on the transmission end? This is not the kind with the regular U joint

The attached is the AA-4822 with dimensions provided by Bud Valerius a number of years ago. This spring was used for both the AA131 and AA157.
