To remove my torque tune and drive shaft I had to grind one river and remove to get the drive shaft to separate from rear end.
Question 1 - where can you get a replacement rivet to put it back together
Question 2 - does the front driveshaft bearing race have to be removed to get front seal out.
Question 3 - front seal in torque tube - which way does it face?

q1: snyders brattons etc sells a replacement pin kit. Hrdened pin with washer and cotter pin you can use in place of the peened over pin. I believe it also includes a standard pin you can peen over.

q2: yes it does - neil posted a tool you can make that does the job super easy out of a pipe fitting and a 6ft iron pipe.

q3: seal is designed to hold the grease in and out of the tube so the non tapered side/ side with the spring/ cupped side goes towards the u joint.

I found the pin set in Snyder’s catalog- AA-4707-AS - not sure how I️ missed that - it is very well described. How would I find the post about pipe tool? Thanks

I made the tool in 10 mins using pipe from pipe clamp and a 3/4 by 1 inch reducer. The link shows cutting down a 1 1/4 to 3/4. I believe this is a typo. The 1 inch to 3/4 has a 1.75 outside diameter. Only had to take off .03 from outside edge to get it to right size.

i also used mine as a ram rod to tap out the axle seals from the wheel side of the housings. - tool has many uses! Now tag it as what its used for and put it in a drawer of special made tools for the future.
