Post by AATRUCKMAN »

I HAVE A "GAR WOOD" ALL METAL DUMP BED (hydraulic) AND WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY LITERATURE OR PHOTO BOOK OF DIFFERENT TRUCKS. MINE KIND OF LOOKS LIKE A SMALL VERSION OF THE BIG TANDEM TRUCK BEDS OF TODAY, YOU KNOW, LIKE THE ONES THAT DUMP ASPHALT INTO PAVING HOPPERS. I WOULD LOVE TO FIND A PICTURE OF ONE IN SOME KIND OF SALES BROCHURE FOR THAT PERIOD. THANKS AND KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

The April 1, 1932 Ford Body Parts List shows several different dump body types. It also shows the different PTO's, hydraulic pumps and control levers. The Wood brand dumps were available in a light and heavy hydraulic versions. I have some original GarWood sales literature that I could make you copies of if you want also.
