Sounds about right. I seem to be getting about the same with the low speed worm system. I drive mine the exact same distance every day so I'll check fuel use VS trips to the coffee shop. 2.7 miles one way..

The miles per gallon is not nearly as important as the smiles per mile.

I am pretty sure my old 31AA with the 5:14.1 got about 13 mpg with the stake body and curb weight of 4790.

I'm getting about 9 MPG, So range should be about 75 miles. Leaving room for error!! It would be fun to fill the tank, (Put an extra 5 gal. in the back) and just take off and see how far you get. Problem is,,, I think i'd run out of day light be for gas!!

Exactly - the answer the question of what mpg do you get is "enough" haha

Depends what State you're in. Here in Taxifornia they modify the gas by using a high percentage of alcohol and oxigenates in order to lessen your mpg. The rats in Sacramento say it's for cleaner air but everyone knows it's because if your car gets fewer miles per gallon you'll have to buy more gas. More gas means mores taxes going to support the ............oh, well, better keep it clean.
