number of skid strip bolts

I was wondering if someone knew how many skid strip bolts there are on an AA platform bed. I tried searching and came up with 140 or so of em. I have a lathe I can make modern carriage bolts look correct but need to know how many and what lengths - read there was 3 different lengths of em...

There were four AA platform bodies. That makes a difference on the bolt design and quantity. If it is the 88-A platform, then check out the floor to support structure at http://aafords.com/open-bodies/platform ... #pl-88a-cf.

And, if you are making bolts for the floor to support structure, then you should also make bolts for the angles to side sill and reinforcements to side sill since the bolt heads are the same. These bolts are listed under 88-A Platform Floor Support Structure at http://aafords.com/open-bodies/platform ... pl-88a-fss.

Note that there were multiple 88-A platform designs also making a difference on the bolt count.

8 skid strips with 11 bolts in each.

ive got a bucket of carrige bolts to chuck up in the lathe and go to town. do a few a day then belt sand the ridge off. Once thier painted should look pretty good. Im surprised noone reproduces the correct headed bolts...

got the bolts done! 100 5/16-18x2, 4 5/16x18-1.5, 40 5/16-18x2.5

also when i try to include a pic of 623KB i click attachments>add files>(pic name here) click upload. Acts like it is but the status is a yellow triangle with an ! in it. I click the triangle and says "Failed to move file". Make it smaller and uploads fine...
