I have completed assembly of the entire frame, motor, transmission, rear and front ends, brakes, and wheels. I now have to tackle the cab (28/29) on the 1930 frame. I need a good resouce that will discribes all the details of the assembly of the radiator, fenders, and cab. Any Suggestions?
I have also broken off my light switch rod while removing the light switch at the bottom of the steering column. It actually was quite rusted at the bottom. Any suggestions on how to remove this rod from the steering column?
Since the horn/light rod is longer than the distance between the top of the steering column and the back of the cab it is wise to get the restored steering wheel and rod in place before you install the cab.
Hayslip is right on this. Difficult to remove the horn rod without either having the cab off or the column out. The rod should just pull out from the top with the horn button and light lever attached. The only thing holding it in is a clip at the bottom and if the end broke off that is probably no longer holding.
