There is a AA-17287 Thrust Washer (speedometer driving gear) listed starting in the 6/15/30 Ford Parts Price List. This part is shown to be for 1929-1930. There is no Thrust Washer listed in prior parts lists. In the 1932 list, this Thrust Washer is shown to be to 1929-1932.
I am guessing that AA-17287 Thrust Washer was for 1930-1932 (not for 1929).
Anyone have information?
Also, should the Thrust Washer be on the front or rear side of the speedometer driving gear?

The MAFFI site shows the drawing date of 5/13/1929.

Re: AA-17287 Thrust Washer (speedometer driving gear)
I also find the AA-17286-B Retainer (speedometer drive gear) has an engineering drawing dated 5/13/29. This is the retainer which is installed in a grove on the drive shaft rather than installed in a grove in the torque tube.
So, it seems that both the AA-17287 thrust washer and AA-17286-B retainer started production in May 1929 (or shortly after). This would mean that the drive shaft would have been redesigned to include a grove for the retainer.
