Hi I have a 1930 82b express bed truck ,everything has been rebuilt. I recently start using it daily and now have about 200 miles on truck. my trouble is a loud clunk when disengaging clutch. It sounds like something is hanging up then releasing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

AA-4811 output gear loose in the pocket of the short drive shaft? The universal joint whipping and banging against its housing?

My first thought was clutch sticking, but it will make the same clunk after slowing down when you start to accelerate. Seems more like end play .

I agree. The sound is probably related to backlash. When the torque is gone it’s quiet , when the torque is back it clunks when the backlash is taken up

Clunk is gone replaced intermediate shaft and transmission output gear. Both had excessive wear. Thanks Bud and Steve,I think it probably will be good for another 90 years.
