This wasn't my idea - I saw it on another post. These were done by boring out the ends of the guide holes slightly undersize for the copper pipe. I cooled the pipe in the freezer and then just hammered them in and sweated on the caps with solder. So far they haven't leaked but I have only been round the block a few times - still running in!

Thanks Jeff, what size copper tubing looks like 1/2 inch. Mine leak badly.

Yes, I think it was - they were only marginally bigger bore ID than the shafts OD.
