Hi,
I am ready to put the king pin bushings in the spindles, but not sure of the correct orientation.
There is a grease groove in the bushing; one that goes all the way to the edge of the bushing (bottom picture) and one that stops before the end (top picture).
Can someone please tell me which way these go in the spindles. I looked online, in this forum, and in the books and could not find the answer.
Thanks for your help.
Dave

Re: King Pin Bushing Orientation Question
I would put the open ended groove toward the thrust bearing so it gets lube.

Re: King Pin Bushing Orientation Question
The open end of both bushings face the axle.

HI Keith,
So just to confirm.
"The open end of the lower bushing faces up and the open end of the upper bushing faces down."
Thanks for your insight!
