Hypothetical question as I am nowhere near driving my project yet; I thought this might be a good discussion.
Say I wanted to improve performance of my AA. What are some experienced opinions from AA and A drivers of what would be the most effective way to boost performance/power, and or top speed on a stock truck?
High compression head? Carburetors? Overdrive?
What would produce the most bang for the buck?
Bang for the buck, performance.
Re: Bang for the buck, performance.
6:1 head, carb, f150 trany with 41% OD.

6.1 high compression head
Oversized valves with hardened valve seats
Touring cam
Downdraft Webber carb and manifold
Cast iron header manifold
Zipper centrifugal advance distributor
But none of the above will do anything for speed!
Still chugging along at 30-35 mph
