Early lug nut common w/TT?

Post by Rumbler »

Does anyone know if the early 1928 AA wheel lug nuts (hub bolt nuts) were common with the '26-'27 TT with wire wheels? I've added a photo below of what I'm looking at, supposedly this is a '26-'27 TT wire wheel hub. They look similar in shape, but I'm not sure of the size. All I have is the photo.

The model T car of 1926-1927 was available with wire wheels. The lug nuts should fit a 1928 model A car not an AA truck. The 1927 TT truck came with wood wheels only. There is no such thing as a TT with wire wheels. A Google of TT images can turn up a photo of a TT with wire wheels. It includes front hubs with T car wire wheels and AA rear wheels on AA hubs. Evidently the owner decided wire wheels looked good on a TT dump truck. The hub in the above photo is from a T car rear.
