Kingpin set

Post by rrich1 »

I am looking at getting a "new" set of kingpins. For the '31 AA will a new old stock of BB-3111 kingpin set work? Also since the kingpins are larger than regular A's what does everyone use to ream the bushings to match the kingpin?

As far as I know new replacements aren’t available. I recently found a set of new old stock ones at a swap meet. I think Snyders has the bushings if you can re use your pins. I found these bearings at Grainger but didn’t order them since I found the nors set.

Easiest way is just take your spindles and pins to local machine shop and let them fit them.
0n the thrust bearings, I spent a good bit of time in local bearing shops and NAPA searching to no avail. NAPA guy and their bearing distributor spent an hour and a half searching.
