88-A Light Bar Proximity to Radiator Shell

Hello. I recently acquired this truck (see embedded images), I believe it's an early 1931 88-A stake truck. I've noticed that the head light/lamp bar seems unusually close to the radiator shell. Is this typical, or do I have some incorrect parts or bad alignment? Thx, Scott

AA does use thicker radiator shell, but I don’t know for sure if that is correct or not.

Hey Scott,

Here's a couple pictures of mine. I show two inches from the radiator fins to the center of the bar. Good looking truck! Looks pretty complete.

Hope it helps.

dose that bar have a 'bow' in it? maybe turn it 180 deg. to get some more clearance..

Kim, that would end up with the head lamps pointing to the rear.
