AA Drivers pedal question

Post by David R. »

Going through two transmissions trying to make one on my AA project. Can’t help but notice on both units; clutch pedals very worn, ribs worn partially away. Brake pedals on the other hand show almost no wear. Obviously ‘a whole lotta shiftin goin on’.
I see most of the suppliers sell replacement weld on pedals. My question is, as far as drivability is concerned, is it worth the trouble, for practical purposes that is?
To phrase the question another way; would a nice new crisp ribbed pedal make any difference to the driver compared to a well worn one?

get a set of rubber pedal covers from suppliers. Will slip on over the worn one.
