Hi All,

I'm trying to install my reproduction floorboards, and have noticed that the brake pedal hits the floorboard. The pedal keeps the wood popped out of the cab by approximately 1/4". I checked the stop on the bell housing, and it looks like it's correct and in good condition. Anyone have ideas? Also noticed the accelerator pedal rubs against the floorboard, I'm assuming this is because the pedal is bent towards the drivers side.

I don't know if this is part of the problem but the March 7, 1930 Chicago Service Letter states
"Due to the increased travel of the AA-2455 brake pedal used on the latest type trucks, the clutch
and brake pedals cannot be lined up parallel with each other. The clutch pedal travel is 5-9/16, whereas
the brake pedal is 6-9/16. This means that the brake pedal pad (when the pedals are properly adjusted)
will be one inch further to the rear than the clutch pedal measured from horizontal center line of pedal pads."

I had the same problem.. Ended up 'relieving' the wood so the pedal would full travel.
Trace where is hits and grind, chisel, router, what ever, away... Touch up with some paint and it is like a repo floor board..

You don’t indicate the month/year of your AA (probably 1931)?? FYI - There is no reason to assume the reproduction floor board is correct. It is most likely for the A chassis. There was AA-35145 #1 floor board assembly released starting January 1930. This is when the heavy-duty AA-2455 brake pedal was put into production.

Based on the engineering drawing, there was an AA Brake Pedal Grove on the underside of AA-35145 (see attached).

My early 1930 AA required the grove to be cut. I used my table saw (with 10” blade) to make the grove. I also made the pedal cut-outs to be 1” wide x 2-1/8” deep for clearance (the engineering drawing specifies 1” x 1-3/4”).
