28 ccpu door seal

Post by birdacre »

there is a large space in the shaping of the sill where the door closes front bottom. large enough for maybe a 1/2 '' marble to clear. does anyone have a source for this door sweep? doors are tight bottom back but strange design on front. thank you.

Birdacre, I assume you are referring to the 82-A closed cab (CCPU is an abbreviation for a closed-cab-pickup - A chassis only)?

The 82-A closed cab had A-80472 black or A-73472 Brown windlace attached to the bottom of the door. Refer to - https://aafords.com/cabs/82-a-closed-ca ... details/#u

Sorry Kevin, I don't know of a source (I never looked). I bought some of the seat material and found core sizes needed in local shops. I had an upholstery shop make mine. The core for the front edge of the door must be flexible because it is compressed when the door is closed. A core which is not flexible or too large will cause the door to bind.
