What book(s) have a brake down of all the parts and their part numbers? What other books are essential?

Re: Which one?
The most detailed AA parts list would be a Ford Parts Price List for the A and AA with a date close to the assembly date of the truck. However, the most common Ford Parts Price List to be found is dated December 1932 and I believe that it is the last A-AA list released just for the A and AA.
It should be noted that a parts list reflects what Ford offered as service parts as of the list date. It does not reflect all original parts. These lists are for the chassis and not the cabs and cargo bodies.
I would recommend that Ford Service Bulletins as a top priority information source for any A or AA owner.

Yes, and another excellent source is the big green Ford Parts Book from 1928 through 1948, which shows excellent exploded views of truck and car assemblies and sub assemblies.
