I am wanting to install turn signals on my '31 stake bed. For the people who have installed front and rear turn signals did you go with a kit? Piece it together yourself? Combo of both? I would love to see pics of them lights installed.

Thanks.

I pieced mine together. Rears are from a Ford tractor, clamped onto the bottom of the bed so no holes. Fronts are some rectangle chrome plastic that fit between the frt. bumper rails. One thing I did was to glue the wires directly under the bumper supports so you can't see the wires. Rear wires are inside the frame rails so they are out of sight. Also ran two extra wires to the rear from Battery to a magnetic quick connector for the battery tender.. With that I can just drive out and the connector falls away.. Mag-Code is the connector manufacture. Oh. I used tin coated wire so it is stiff and stays in the shape you bend it into.. Also the switch is up under the dash panel on the left and out of sight. A SPDT for turn signals, SPST for Hazard flashers.. And a Beeper for turn signals so you don't forget to turn them off..

Good luck.

My project is a long way from needing lights, but I have been thinking about this. I really don’t like the modern looking lights. Not sure, thought about fog lights on front and use regular Ford tail lights?

Use what ever you prefer. I like to not go drilling holes in anything original, I have mine clamped on so they can be changed in the future and not "damage" the original truck. Get creative!! Go wild...
