82-A closed cab manual wiper
Ok all, I hope someone out there can help me shine some light on my attempt to get this right.......I am trying to get this manual wiper assembly correct for restoration. I have searched the info from my judging standards. I have an old judging standards and an update. The old standards says that the commercial manual wiper blade had an 11” black frame and two ply blade. The updated version says it was an 8” blade. When I disassembled the wiper that came on my truck, I measured the blade at 8 5/8”and the attaching hole is not in the middle of the blade .... so I am assuming it is a replacement type. In my search for a blade, I’ve not found a suitable replacement. The blades that I have found that are 8” are multi-ply and the standards call for two ply. Also, I know the operators knob could be nickel plate or polished aluminum but I need some clarity about the finish on the operating arm the knob is attached to ....was it cad, nickel, or black paint? And last, there were two types of blade attachment, either a two piece or one piece. Does anyone know which supplier furnished the two piece, Trico or Williams? This would make a difference in the correct blade that would have come with the assembly. If anyone has some thoughts on this or knows where I can go to find the correct blade, it would be greatly appreciated!

This is what I know currently:
The current RGJS is correct – 8” blade
The operating arm was black paint.
Ford engineering drawing shows the blade had two rubbers (see attached)
