Flap or Duct tape ?

Post by KimVanOrder »

Will Duct tape do the job of wheel flaps?

Your thoughts?

KVO,

Are you driving the truck down the road? Are you using new tires and tubes? If using new tires and tubes I think it would be foolish to not get flaps. If it's just for a doodlebug or something around the yard, I guess you could use duct tape. If you use duct tape, you may very well have a harder time getting the tire on.

Just my $0.02

If I were to go the duct tape route I'd splurge for Gorilla tape.

I would not use tape. With a flap you know the tube is up inside the tire and
is not going to get pinched.
