AA Mirror Bracket
Has anyone know anything about a 29-31 mirror bracket that is 17 inches long? Is this an aftermarket part or Ford? This mirror bracket mounts on the windshield post.

Re: AA Mirror Bracket
Hello s147881,
The hinge pillar mounted AA mirror bracket is shown below. It is part AA-17745 and is 11-1/16" long. The part number is on the blade. It was only used on the 82-A closed cab (late '28 through mid 1930).
For the 82-B closed cab, hinge mounted mirror brackets were used.
There is an Ebay sale currently for an incorrect mirror bracket. The last I looked the bid was up to $70. Someone is going to be very disappointed or will just insist that it is an original Ford part! There is lots of miss information on Ebay!

Yes, Neil I agree. It looks like a welder-grinder special to me.

Re: AA Mirror Bracket
It is too bad that this kind of miss information occures on Ebay (or anywhere else). But, I see it happen frequently. When I actually take the time to check into an issue, it normally turns out that the seller actually believes in what he is selling.
The attached pictures shows a pair of extended mirror brackets which the owner really believed that they are factory originals.
