Hello everyone! I’m new to the Forum and to the AA but have built a couple A’s in the past.
On regular model A’s it’s common practice to shorten the steering pitman arm. I assume it’s for tighter, faster turning.
My question is, is it also common practice to do this to the double A’s. What are the pros and cons of doing so?

Re: Pitman Steering Arm
A shortened pitman arm results in a smaller turning radius. It allows for easier turning. Kind of like power steering.
This would be the same for both the a and the double a.

Re: Pitman Steering Arm
Thanks Neil! On the A’s I’ve done in the past I would shorten them about 1 1/2 inches. I’m assuming it will be the same for the AA?Neil Wilson wrote:A shortened pitman arm results in a smaller turning radius. It allows for easier turning. Kind of like power steering.
