What is it?

Post by KillianAA »

Anyone know what this is? Found it in my late '31 AA truck when cleaning out the cab which was full of odds and ends thrown in there over many years. At first I thought it might not be related to the truck, but it has the same paint as the truck (what's left of the paint that is). Looks pretty crudely built but having the exact same paint seems to indicate it may have come with the truck...?

After searching for several hours on line for what this could be... my best guess is maybe they used it as a pry bar for the split rims or tires? Whatever it is, I'd keep it under the seat just because it's a cool find!

Let us know if you ever figure it out.

Thanks Mark for sharing your search results and thoughts. I will indeed keep it with the truck!

Chris - I agree that it looks crude and homemade... However the paint appears to match exactly the original paint on the truck.

Red was not a standard color for commercial vehicles.
