Seat Back Attachment

Post by dlevy »

Hi,

Can someone tell me the correct seat back attachment for the 82B cab?

I have 2 clips welded to the back of the cab (white arrows) which look like the seat should hang from, but what goes on the bottom?

I have these clips shown in the picture, but not sure what they are for.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

FYI - My research shows that there were four of the upper retainers welded to the cab back and three lower retainers (one for each support board).

Thanks All.

Neil, would those welded on hooks only be up until late 1930 and then transition to the other style that Bob C posted?

My truck is a February 1931, but I have 2 of the welded on versions.

(Chris, good eye, the WLA w/sidecar is next in line after I finish the AA, then the Kettenkrad).

Dave, My information regarding dates is based on observation (not Ford documentation). So, did Ford change from 4 to 2 weld-on-retainer hooks and when the conversion to bolt-on retainers occurred is not backed by Ford documentation.
