Oil capacity for a Warford Transmission

Post by rustya1928 »

Does anyone know just how much oil you should put into a Warford? There is a small plug on the side of the case, should this be removed and oil filled to this level? Any help would be great. Thanks Charlie

I would be willing to bet that’s your answer. Mine has a drain plug on bottom and plug above halfway on side and another on shift tower.
I would assume the side plug is your oil level top off point. That would correspond to the one on side of4 speed in similar location.
Is the one on shift tower to make adding oil easier?

I believe mine takes right at 2 quarts. The side plug is for checking the level. I keep mine an inch ish below the opening.
