Water puumps

Post by jt3d3b »

Hi, all, I bought a new water pump for my 1930 AA. The fan did not want to go on. I fiddled with it a bit and took it to a guy I know who used a press. The fan is now stuck on the pump shaft and it is not on there far enough to put the cotter pin through the castle nut.

The only thing I can figure is there must be some sort of difference in pump shaft diameters?

You can remove the castle nut and sand a bit off of the bottom of the nut in order to get the hole to line up.

A picture of the fan you're trying to install would be of interest.
