When asembling the brakes, be sure to take into consideration the fact that the brake actuating lever is pointed up after assembly. This means of course that the right and left brake actuators rotate in opposite directions when actuated by the pedal. When viewing the brake assembly from the drum side, the driver side brake actuator must be rotated counter-clockwise to actuate the brake, and clockwise on the passenger side brake.
