Is the double ball steering arm, steering pitman, & drag link the same on AA vs A?

Post by GillTownship »

I have a 1930 Model AA truck. Are the double ball steering arm, the drag link that connects the double ball steering arm to the steering pitman, and the steering pitman all the same for the Model AA truck as for the Model A car? Is the adjustment wedge that adjusts the shoes the same for AA and A? I understand the tie rod is different on a Model AA truck from the Model A car, but the tie rod ends are the same. This sounds dumb but the 2 balls on the double ball steering arm and the 1 ball on the steering pitman all appear to be oval in shape but is that from wear and tear and are they supposed to be round?

Sound like you need some parts books. The vendor have the Model A parts book and I also like the 1928-37 parts
book as it has better pictures. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/prod ... &cat=41621

The steering gear, pitman arm, drag link and tierod ends are the same as A. The brake adjuster and steering arms are AA only.
The arm balls should be 1" round.
