Top Material on the closed Cab truck;s

Post by kirk C, »

Ive seen smooth stuff like the older artificial leather, on the older closed cab pickup's but ive not seen any close up shots of the material that i can tell really what it is?
I used to have a 26 T tudor, and it had that cheap cobra grain stuff on the top,
Ive seen alot of cars & truck donr the wrong way cause the owner didnt want to make it right or really didnt care what it looked like?
total sacrilige???
this time when I find a AA truck ,,,
I want it right in all aspect's, no compromising like that 60A leatherback my dad had, and I could see it had the hairline stripe cloth in it when we found it,
but he had to have his way which was wrong,
Bedford cord yuccccchhhh,,,,,
and ,,, the cotton top fabric which was totally wrong, Look's hideous,it was supposed to be that pebble grain vinyl in the med brown since the car is rose beige,
and seal brown reveal's,
hard to clean too, but.... ohh welll its not mine anymore so ,,,
water under the bridge,
Whoever would put that lousy looking cobra cloth on a AA trruck should be horsewhipped haha,,,,,, as it look really cheap and not even original,
Either do it right,,, Or dont do it at all!

The attached pictures shows original 82-A top material. Note the design which was protected under the rain gutter. The material looks like what is being sold today.
