New Member with AA
Afternoon All I am a new member of the forum and the club. I also am just finishing up a 1930 (early) AA 1 ton Stake truck. Soon as I can figure out the camera I will post a photo.
Does anybody have information regarding the upholstry for the AA's in 1930??

Welcome aboard. Where are you both from.
What do you want to know about the upholstery. There is not very much in an 82A cab. Pretty basic.
Several vendors handle the kits.

Thanks for the answer, I am from Sonoma County Ca, near Bodega (The Birds) Bay. Sebastopol is the next town over.REM wrote:Welcome aboard. Where are you both from.

Re: New Member with AA
The good news is that the AA truck cabs (82-A through June 1930 and 82-B from July 1930 to end of production) are the same as for the A. Vendors have upholstry kits for both style of cabs.

Re: New Member with AA
Thank you Neil, I need a complete cab for the "32" AA. I was told it is a late production mail truck, and that particular truck was built in 1932.
I would love to get clear photos of what this truck would have looked like.

Re: New Member with AA
If you have a USPS Mail Truck, then it is an entirely different body. Ford sold the cowl and chassis and a different company made/installed the postal body. I don't have any pictures of postal trucks. There are both A and AA versions.
Post a picture of what you have.

Re: New Member with AA
Spectria: The mail truck may have been finished in '32, to complete a contract order. Try doing a search for >POSTAL A"s < There is a group of restroers with the mail trucks and a web site. If you dont find "em, then search for "Fordbarn" A forum. I'm sure the guys ther could give you more information. Good luck, F

The A's and AA's were produced into early 1932. Aldie Johnson is the editor for the Postal A's and his e-mail is ModelA.Mail@verizon.net.

The story of the 1931 mail trucks and their production into 1932 is covered on the website of the St. Louis Car Museum, along with a zillion pictures (good ones). See http://www.stlouiscarmuseum.com/stlcarm ... asp?id=595
