Start engine, move spark advance and engine wants to stop
Any idea why when I move the advance from fully retarded to advance engine wants to stop?

Does it just kill imediately.
It could be shorting the wire between the upper and lower dist plates.

Yes, just came in from garage, checked timing, set points, plugs out and in, had ignition on and removed the advance linkage and was moving the top plate and saw a spark as I advanced the top plate, took my thumb nail and pushed little brass tap that connect the upper and lower back away from distributor housing and put everything back together and away it went, runs great, don't know how it got over to distributor housing but it did, you were correct, got fixed before I got to read your response, but you are correct, thanks Bruce in OHIO ( running again !!!!!!!
