I will be rebuilding a four speed transmission in the near future for my late 1930 AA.
- What are the critical parts and adjustments.
- What should I look out for?
- What parts should/ must get replaced?
- Do I paint it before or after it is rebuilt?
- Any issues with the top cover and shifter?

Any advice from someone who has already rebuild one or two?

I just read your post and realized it’s from 2008. Did you rebuild your 4 speed transmission? I have questions similar to yours from 2008
