Front end problems

Post by IHC »

Finally the 11th June I got my truck approved and got my licence plates. What a joy! But the test driving on the road revealed problems with the front end. Steering components to be more exact.
The drag link and the connecting rod rub so hard against each other that the paint is scratched away. I have several ideas why but I don't know where to start correcting it as I'm missing some measures:
1) The normal - average - clearing between the front axle and the front spring, measured at the centre of the axel to the centre of the clip bar
2) The normal clearance between the drag link and the connecting rod when a) the front wheels are pointing straight forward and b) when they are turned to the far right
3) Do I have any chance of measuring the left spindle arm to see if it is out of shape?
