Have Seller deliver to US side

I do not go into Canada because it is a huge hassle to cross back into the states

i advise anyone buying a car in Canada to either use a shipping agent to handle import
or accept delivery from the Seller on the US side of the border as a condition of sale

That way you know the vehicle can be imported without issue

I routinely met Sellers or their reps at the US side of the border
and haul from there ....

Jim
ive heard its even more of a hastle if its built after 1975 with all the emissions stuff. The vehicle also has to conform to all safety standards(crash tests, bumper tests, lights, brakes, etc) you may be able to bring the car here but will have a heck of a time getting it registered at the DMV. Says the car must be brought up to code, exported, or dystroyed if it isnt/cant meet the requirements. Not sure about car parts... Fenders and interior stuff i figure wouldnt matter but you get into engines/trans/brakes/and steering it gets into grey area....
