WANTED: 30-31 Commercial Cowl

Post by 30TownSedan » January 3rd, 2018, 8:01 am

Looking in the greater New England area for a 30-31 commercial cowl (the type used on buses, postal trucks, fire trucks - see picture below). Need not be in perfect condition - would almost prefer that it not be (will be used for a "patina project"). Please reply with price and location (pictures would be great). Thanks!

I have one - on bus chassis. Located southwest Michigan- currently covered in a lot of snow. Not sure what it is worth.

Thanks, but shipping would probably make it cost-prohibitive. Really need to find one in Southern New England - something I could pick up.

You might be looking for a while if you limit yourself to that small of an area. I just shipped 3 engine blocks on a pallet and it was less than $150.00
Certainly heavier than what you are wanting.

You show a stainless cowl band I thought commercial where painted steel for commercial. I just bought a repro , for my AA after going thru three orignals. The repo fit pretty well think it was around 50 dollars.

Was simply a picture off the internet because some people don't seem to know what I mean by "commercial cowl." Really don't care what the cowl band is - or if it even has one. Just interested in the cowl itself.
