Parts for 30 AA rear end

Post by Barney1930 »

I have a 30 AA bevel gear rear end that I need to get serviceable repair parts for - like back plate, brake levers, bushings, etc
Where will I find them?

Sacramento Vintage Ford Parts has about the best selection of AA parts from any of the aftermarket parts suppliers that I've seen. Sometimes I've had to wait several months for backordered parts, but so far everything has eventually arrived.

The Model A Ford Works used to be absolutely great, but I believe that Tom is no longer doing business. Does anyone know anything about Tom Goddish?

Also, Bert's Model A in Denver has a good selection of used and repro AA parts.

The list is as follows:
Operating Lever Main Brake L&R
Operating Lever Emergency Brake L&R
Backing Plate L&R
Hub Cap Rear Left (Threaded)
Bolts that hold rear radius rods to rear axle
I'll attach some pictures (I hope)

Hello Barney,
I have some of the parts you are looking for:

(1 each) AA-2237-D and AA-2238-D – rear brake cam shaft extension (RH & LH)
(2) AA-2642-B – Emergency brake lever – this is not a right/left part
(2) AA-2211-B – Rear Brake housing plate assembly - this is not a right/left part

Your list does not include the AA-2637 – toggle lever connections. But your pictures shows this part. These are the coupling sleeves which connect the emergency brake levers to the toggle levers). I have two of these coupling sleeves if they are needed.

It just snowed, so it will be next week before I can take pictures for you. If you are interested, send me your e-mail addrress so I can send you the pictures.
Regards, Neil Wilson
