Who has an A rolling chassis & wide bed in SoCal?

Post by Hardhatz »

I will be converting my AA dump into a pickup, so I need some good ole stuff to work with. I'm in Riverside CA. I just KNOW there are 50 of them within 10 miles, the question is where to find one. I was in a junkyard the other day & believe it or not there was an AA (28-29), and an A (damaged) frame in there...

rolling chassis, rear fenders, bumpers, etc.

Bernie is still alive?.. wow!
I haven't heard of him since the days of B&B truck parts.

Update, I bought a chassis today. Supposedly a '30. Very straight, rust free. Has a motor that turns over, juice brakes, and what looks like '32 wire wheels. That is great because I love those rims!

Will pick it up this weekend. It was 40 miles away.

I still need a bed & back fenders...

You can keep asking here or call Bernie's and buy one. (909) 877-2926. In all the years Bernie ran his junkyard if anything interesting came in he took it home. Now he has acres and barns full of stuff and it is all for sale. He is pushing 80 so ya better not wait too long.

Hopefully Bernie is ready to sell stuff. When I asked him about stuff back in the 80s everything he had was solid gold.
I will go see him either way, I wondered what happened to him for years.

Well, here's my Chassis! Can anyone identify the brakes?

They are about 11 1/2 by 1 1/2.

Man this thing is straight! Came from a barn.

30 Tudor, was very complete, pulled from a barn. He is using the body on a new TCI frame. Of the body, I got only the hood.
There are bumpers & a bunch of odds & ends with it.
