Wanted: Rear Brake Backing Plates (Pair)

Looking to see if anyone has a pair of rear backing plates for a 29 model aa or if anyone knows where I can buy new ones. Thanks in advance for your help.

An early '29 AA could have the rear axle without emergency brakes (different backing plates). An early '29 AA most likely has the backing plates with the dust ring around the outer edge. Otherwise, the backing plates have the dust ring.

So, which backing plates are you looking for?

I am looking for the backing plates with the emergency brake. The plates I have, have a 2 peice dust ring and are held in by rivets and spot welds. The ones I have are great but I am forced to cut into them to free the brakes.

Post a photo of the backing plates you have. I have several New Old Stock AA backing plates that are for the 28 & 29 AA's that are for sale.

Jared, did you ever find some backing plates? I've got a set or two of grubby backing plates around here gathering dust, so if your considering something old that needs cleaning big time perhaps i can help.
Also, a picture of your old ones would help.

My Early 1930 backing plates simply unbolted from the rear end. No spot welding.

I located them and they're a match to yours and good condition.

Connecticut is a long way from Simi Valley in terms of shipping.
