Need 600x20 tires

Post by TomH »

Is there any hope for me finding a usable set of 600x 20 tires? Or do I just bite the bullet and pay the man for a new set?

I guess the question is how much do you plan to drive it and where? One bad tire can ruin your whole day.

I am thinking that anything more than a 25 mile round trip, the truck would be hauled. I am aware of safety, and we are making a real effort towards making the truck roadworthy. So I wouldn't want to use bad tires. I also know that breakdowns are no fun.

I'm sure safety and reliability is #1 with you same as myself. I've been tempted to use brand new "old tires" in years passed that were just old and weather -checked even though they'd never been mounted. In most cases those tires will give miles and miles of service but that nagging voice in my head tells me to part with the bucks for a proper set.
Oh the voices. The voices.
