Weaver Winch

Post by RJ Scott »

Hey I've got a question...
I have a Weaver Winch the came on my AA. It's in pretty good shape and I will be refurbishing it as well as the truck. My question is, does anyone know how I can get, or where I can find any information regarding the Weaver Winches? I know they were manufactured in either Springfield, IL or a plant in Canada somewhere. I've searched the web and can only find worthwhile information on Holmes wreckers and only an occasional mention of the Weaver Winches.
If anyone knows how I can get info I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
RJ

RJ,
I have not heard of a Weaver winch. Weaver had a couple of different cranes used for wreckers. I have a Weaver catalog showing information. A group of five AA'ers worked together several years ago and had some of the crane parts reproduced to complete our cranes. These were the usual parts which are missing or worn out such as the snatch block and other parts at the top of the boom.
