One would have to see in person, but it looks to me like two shorter boxes spliced together. Have you seen in person and looked for splice welding?

Yes I have seen it in person. It has been in my back yard for two years. It is not two spliced together. You can see the leftovers of the TT bed on top of it and it looks nothing like it. The area around the fender mounts is flaired out.

I got that bed together with an early AA bed and find it is the same. Just in real poor shape with some modifications.
