For sale: 1930 Ford AA dump truck with Galion hydraulic dump

Post by colemantrucks »

1930 Ford AA dump truck. Dual wheels.

This is an amatuer restoration of a rust free western truck, where the truck was taken completely apart rebuilt and put back together. I purchased it as such with a stake bed on it. I put it back to it's original configuration as a dump truck.

I found another chassis with a Galion #2 hydraulic dump box on it. I had the dump box and frame professionally restored and mounted on the chassis. New tailgate, stringers and floor were installed. Has both brass tags. One on the body and one on the hoist.

Not a perfect show truck, but a very presentable daily driver. Has some scratches etc. No rust or rot.

The truck was originally a dump truck assembled at the Colorado Ford plant and shipped to Wyoming where it was used to deliver coal. I can trace it back to the original owner.

It has about 400 miles on it since the original restoration. It has 6 new tires. I also have some parts that go with it. Contact me through this site for pictures and any more info. If someone can post photos them for me that would be great.

I'm asking $12,500.00. Will consider offers or a partial trade for Oliver HG, or Oliver OC-3 crawler. ( My next project).

colemantrucks:

I just realized that your truck is the same truck featured on pages 22 & 23 in the most recent issue (November/December 2010; Vol. 18 - No. 5) of the "Vintage Truck" magazine. Nice looking dump truck!

that is how i know when to add oil to the engine in my 1963 cub cadet 70. the front crank seal and oil pan have leaked for years, just havnt gotten around to pulling the engine yet. it leaks at a good enough rate that you never have to change the oil, it leaks enough to always stay clean...no need to dispose of used oil for this one, the other 9 tractors are a different story lol
