I still need the correct running board for the drivers side to complete the restoration , If any one has one I would like to buy or trade for it , just for your information the steel top that is in the photo is from a chevy and is just siting on the AA cab for storage ,it fits real good but will not be used on the finished truck . Bud great truck! Is that a Ford bed and what is the length, depth and width? I am going to build one for my 29 restorod project and I'm working on some plans. Ihave a set of 14" wide glass rear fenders and figure on using a 46" wide 38-40 tailgate. thanks Radar

I thought we agreed the service body didn't come with duals.

Re: Late 1930/1931 rear fenders for dual wheels
Here is some photo's of my 229A (tow truck) that was built in the San Francisco plant. It was bought new by Pozi Motors in Carson City NV, a Ford dealer at the time. The Gentleman I bought it from bought it from Mr. Pozi in 1968. I am the third owner. As you can see, it has the wide rear fender's and running boards. Notice the difference in the bed from the other truck on this site. That truck has a non-factory bed... i.e. wood top rails and rear opening etc. (Stephen Salazar has a twin to this truck in southern California he bought from Bill Cilker in San Jose.) Note: The wrecker is a Manley.
Thanks, Rich Hershey

Hello Richard,
Your pictures are not displaying.
Note that the other AA shown in this thread has a Ford sold AA 195-A express cargo body (1931 AA131 chassis). It is a Ford sold cargo body. Your truck is has a 229-A service body. It is Ford sold just like the 195-A.
