I may have mentioned on this forum, in the past, that what Olive wants, Olive gets. Well, Olive has decided she wants to sell the old homestead here in Virginia and move to Florida Sooo, Dr. Frank has to go. Thats what I get for having one of these "trophy wives" only had her for 54 years!
Dr. Frank is a 1930 AA grain truck. I've came a long way with him up to this point. The pictures below is what the truck looked like when I brought it home, mostly. I well back it out and take some more pictures tomorrow, if it stops raining.
I will try a short list of what i've done,
Rebuilt the front suspension, new brakes, all new spring bushings and new king pins.
Cleaned the engine up and checked the bearings ( compression, 60 lbs all 4 holes) rebuilt oil pump, the distributor and carb. Runs pretty good.
All new bearings in the transmission, gears look good. New clutch disk, pilot bearing, and throwout bearing.
All new bushings in the rear suspension. hav'nt done the rear brakes.
The chassis has been cleaned up and painted, not sand blasted!
All new wiring harness
The body off the frame, I hav'nt done any body work, other than a new top, all wood has been replaced in the top, using the old pieces for patterns. New seat and upholstry. Other than that, just clean up.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some important points here,
This is a great old truck, and I would like to find it a good home. It comes with a pickup load of spare parts, including a spare engine, 2 good restorable fenders, Both the grain side boards and the stake sides. By the way the platform is a TT. 4 side pockets and the ford truck script on the back. Like I say, many spare parts, brake backing plates. and parts, just lots of parts!
The platform has not been finished but comes with the parts to do so. Including the original wood and wear strips.
I'm asking $7,000 as it now sits, with all its great old warts and wrinkles. It has a good clear Va title. Any ?? just email me at onbjames@yahoo.com Of course this is cash and carry, no shipping provided.
