AA high-speed differential

This is a notice to all who have an AA truck.
For the past years that I have been reproducing the TT 5:17.1 high speed gear sets, and have been selling the bronze gear to those who needed a replacement for their AA, everyone who I have been in contact with asked me if I have the hardened steel worms for the AA.
Well I now have them available, I am in full production of the TT, and AA, worm drive gear sets.
For all who are interested in a set just forward me back.
I have been selling these as fast as I can make them right now, and will stay in production of these for the next few months.
As long as there is a demand, There wasn’t enough time to get the word out in the AA newsletter, so I am putting the word out this way.
So if you are in need of one or, know of someone who was looking for a set, now is the time to order up because I will not be able to stay tooled up very long on these.

Please post the cost. Cost of worm, cost of worm gear (some call it a ring gear), and cost of the set.

I am posting the photo add brochure of the TT worm and ring set, as I have not had enough time to take photos of the AA steel worm with the ring.
The cost of the bronze gear alone is 690.00 + shipping, complete set is 1380.00 + shipping.
See attached brochure.

What is the difference in Speed?

The TT and AA worm drive axle both used 7.25:1 or 5.17:1 gears. The 7.25:1 gears will yield about 25mph (probably a little less). The 5.17:1 gears will cruse at 40mph. My AA will do 45mph if I push the engine.

For what its worth, I have the "B" stamped 5:17 Diff.

I can cruise along at 40-42 empty. In my case, my dump box weighs 1190Lbs empty plus the hoist. A flat bed would be lighter. It is nice to go 35 in town without issue.

Of course, I always say that when I'm in my truck I am already where I want to be, so what's the rush?

FYI - I sent an email to Mike Hartmann to find out if he is still making the AA worm drive high-speed gears:
Neil,
I will make more when I can, but right now this is on hold till I have more open time in my shop.
Sorry for the delay.
