I'm west of Chicago in Oak Brook Illinois. I've made an offer, I hope he'll accept it. They said this was a stake bed that had been strapped to a fuel tank. I will sell off the fuel tank and use the proceeds for parts. I'm just going to price it.

Thanks!

Also it would be worth noting that I am using this truck for reenactments. We do WW2 Reenacting around my area and we are looking for German used vehicles. These Ford AA's were given in great numbers to the soviets, when the Germans invaded in 1941 during operation Barbarossa, they came across and captured hundreds of thousands of US made automobiles, weapons etc. And instead of destroying them they re-issued them by slapping a balkans cross on it.

I will post pics of the restoration.

Could you provide pictures, inside and out all over.
Also weight matters for shipping, and dimensions.
Let us know when you get it home!!!

Take the truck to the nearest scrap metal yard and sell them the tank. It is not a tank designed to be truck mounted. You will probably get a couple hundred bucks for it.
