1928/29 Model AA fender (Panel Delivery, Express & Platform)

Post by 1crosscut »

I have a complete left rear Model AA truck fender for sale. This fender will fit the panel delivery, express and platform truck.
The fender is in good shape but does have some dents and a crack on the inside edge of one of the mounting bolt holes. The outside fender bead is really nice with no cracks.
I have a video on youtube showing the fender.

Hello crosscut, I am trying to put together a express bed 1930-31 truck. I bought a repo bed and I was planing on modifying coupe fenders. Could you take a couple of measurements from the fender you have for sale? Dimension from running board edge (inside dimension) to rear edge (inside dimension) at the floor, and a dimension from floor to the top of inside off fender. I am trying determine if rear fenders from a car had same radius as rear fenders for AA truck? the front fenders are the same I am wondering if that carried over to the rears? I know there is a diference where they bolt to express bed but I am wondering about actual radius? If you could take these dimensions it would be a great help. THANKS.

rfj52,
I suggest that you start a separate thread regarding your project. Consequently, this thread can remain a for sale thread.

Note that the 89-A express body was used from production start thru 1930. The 195-A express body was used from 1/31 on. So, you need to determine if you are doing a 1930 express or a 1931 express since they are different bodies.

I guessing your are wanting to do a 1930 with an 82-B cab and 89-A reproduction express??????????????? The rear fender for this AA is similar to the one being sold above except for the section where the fender bolts to the '30/'31 style splash apron. AA rear fenders do not have the same radius as the A fenders.

Start a separate thread and I will post a picture (with some measurements) of the AA rear fender used through mid 1930 with the 82-A cab. I also have some pictures of the AA rear fender used with the 82-B cab in 1930.
Regards, Neil Wilson
