For Sale: Unrestored 1929 Model AA Ford Express truck (89-A)

For Sale 1929 Model AA Ford Express truck (89-A)
(Like the truck on the 1970's TV series "The Waltons")

Has all hard to find parts (express bed, bed hold down bolts, spare tire mount, long splash aprons, long running boards, 3rd running board bracket, fender to splash apron spacers, bed skid strips).
Cowl and gas tank have surface rust, but no cancer.
Torn bed pockets, tailgate need some straightening. Most beds have cancer at lower wood sills. I have not looked closely, but odds are this one does too.
Pillar assembly on cab is bad, but I have an extra nice one that goes with the truck (see picture).
Have original windshield frame with hand wiper.
5 new Denman tires on unrestored disk wheels.
Nice doors. No cancer in doors although one door has a large dent. Doors appear to have all hardware.
Has front shocks with original AA shock arms.
Front fenders have no noticeable tears in beading. Rear fenders have tears.
Running gear appears to be stock (no overdrive or underdrive). Has 3 speed trans.
Have a good running motor that goes with the truck (If time permits a may install it before close of auction).
Two of the bed skid strips are cut short.
Have hood (needs some work), front splash apron, and front bumper (not sure about front bumper braces)
Main items missing: seats, cab wood, top, battery, sun visor, glass, popout ignition, horn, headlight lense, taillight. There are other miscellaneous small parts that may be needed.
January 1929 VIN number on frame, 1-12-29 date on firewall. I'm in the process of completing the title.
My plan was to assemble the cab with better parts, install the engine, get it running and drive it in it’s rusty condition.
Truck is located in the Lake Elsinore - Menifee area of California and can be seen by appointment.

A friend’s pickup has just gone up for sale, so I’ve decided to sell this Express truck.

Truck is currently on Ebay (Item# 261271866970).

Red, go to the e-bay site for pics, ------ this truck is in my back yard so to speak about 50 miles away, looks as if it would be an easy restore. ----- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/26127186 ... 3D1&_rdc=1

I'm sorry, I did set a reserve price, but don't want to reveal it yet.

I would consider ending the auction early, if I got the right offer.

I hope to install the motor in it by midweek.

Hi Chris,
I got it from the Stockton, CA area. Father pased away. Son sold it to me. Unfortunately, I have no history. I looked at the cabs front crossmember expecting to find a San Francisco ID, but have not been able to locate an ID. I plan to look closer in the next day or two.

I was happy to find that the number stamped on the frame makes sense with the date that is on the firewall.
