AA Express on CL in Montana

Post by Jared275 »

Not my ad but I came across this on CL. It appears to be located in Montana. Looks like a pretty good deal to me.

Jared:
I've seen that ad before - the box is actually off a Model TT truck. Note there are no indentations on the inside of the bed for the rear tires to clear and it doesn't have the sidemount bracket at the front passenger side. You can modify a TT box to fit an AA chassis but it's a lot of work and it still isn't authentic. A TT frame has parallel rails and a TT box would have to be cut and flared to an "A" shape, wider at the rear to fit on an AA frame which is wider at the rear than at the front.

If you are not driving your AA truck you might as well be collecting clocks!

If someone here is going there or buying the lot. And there is a regular A panel there, I am interested in a 79-A.

Did any of our fellow members buy this lot? i would have jumped on it and done a lot of parting if i had the money at the time. there are a lot of parts that i would have been interested in but definitely don't need 3 more complete projects HAHAHA!!
